Romantic Vintage Style Wedding Dress for an English Wedding
A truly romantic style with an ethereal aesthetic. Lightweight silk georgette offered plenty of movement and flow. A sweetheart neckline bodice was created, which was overlaid with the softer sheer silk georgette boat neck. The top had a delicate pleated section that allowed minimal seams. The circle cut skirt featured two front seams which enabled the fabric to collapse and drape fluidly, creating soft gathers inspired by vintage silhouettes. Reworked leavers lace sourced from France was overlaid and partly hand sewn onto the waist, v-back and shoulders to create an organic 3-dimensional effect. The shoulder lace was placed off the edge concealing the seams and composing a small fluttering cap sleeve. Small pearl beads highlighted the stamens of each lace flower. A matching lace trimmed fingertip mantilla veil completed the romantic look.
