Lake District Woodland Ethereal Dress
Melanie's Lake District wedding was an intimate celebration set in a beautiful forest. A very simple, relaxed silhouette with detailed guipure lace decoration around the waist and bust panels. Melanie's dress was inspired by the wild flowers of the Lake District. The lace embellishment had added meaning with pearls that belonged to her beloved late grandmother which were used as centre features in the flower heads. A lace butterfly was hidden amongst the flowers, which could only be seen under close inspection, all symbolic details of the bride's childhood. Melanie's veil was made from a family heirloom that was transformed into a two-tier blusher veil. It was such an honour to design a dress, which incorporated so much sentiment and romantic ideology.
"Having Jo on board was about more than just the dress – she made the whole experience of getting married so much more exciting and special..."
